Foundation for Financial Planning 30th Anniversary
Seated Dinner and Program at Library of Congress – 350 Guests
The Foundation for Financial Planning invited campaign sponsors to celebrate 30 years of expanding access to expert financial advice for people in need. They launched the “Power of Pro Bono” 30th Anniversary Campaign, to help fuel the rapidly growing pro bono movement in financial planning, engaging more CFP professionals than ever before to help families in need. FFP raised over $2 million for this campaign.
We faced a couple challenges with this event:
-A majority of guests flew in from all over the country, requiring multiple hotel blocks and ground transportation to the event. Tracking accommodations for hundreds of guests and Capitol Hill Police restrictions on buses around the venue.
-Extensive AV and multiple stages required larger teams across all vendors to be set up in the time allowed, because much of it had to go down before anything else. All vendors are required to have vehicles and equipment inspected at an off-site facility the morning of the event and then we only had 2.5 hours to be set and ready that evening. Our relationships were instrumental in working with our partners in making this happen.
